Whale Wars

I was the Director of Photography aboard the ship named “The Bob Barker” for this “fly on the wall” style documentary series about passionate people belonging to a non profit called “Sea Shepherd”. These people work tirelessly to protect whales in Antarctica against the hungry and trespassing whaling industry of Japan. I spent 94 days at sea in Antarctica filming the Sea Shepherds who were willing to die for these whales. This job was filmed on small speed boats, helicopters, ice bergs and from the big steel ships themselves. One of the hardest jobs I’ve ever done. An honor to be nominated along with my camera team for a Prime Time Emmy award for Outstanding Cinematography for a Non Fiction Program.
